Some live pics of the OMEGA Ploprof
May 21, 2009,03:01 AM
IMO, a standout of the new for 2009 models introduced at this year's Basel is OMEGA's Ploprof
Here's a pic on our Glashutte PuristSPro Moderator Dr. No's wrist....
In the pics I've seen previously, the bracelet was something I didn't care for. Boy was I wrong!!! This bracelet is awesome!
The design and sturdiness of the bracelet is one of it's best features....great job Omega!
Very solid construction

Don't know what to think on this watch
By: amanico : May 21st, 2009-14:20
Really don't know. Its huge aspect, + the little Orange thing... Have to see it in the flesh before any definitive judgement. Thanks for your pics and post, Ming! Best, Nicolas
Looks like the same heavy mesh that is regular issue Omega

Was wearing my Flightmaster fitted with one today, in fact. See that for the Ploprof, they added a much needed deployant (the old mesh is hard to buckle). I will attest to how well the Omega meshes wear. Don't laugh, I accidentally installed the bracelet ...

I love your macros of the "shark-proof" mesh bracelet (a shark might just break a tooth on one of those things -- it's a pity they have several rows of replacement teeth ready to spring into action though!). I feel like I need to see this model in person....
its a very good re issue of an iconic watch. very heavy to wear though
By: G99 : May 22nd, 2009-14:53
as a divers watch it is perfect, as a 'street' watch i found it had problems. the street bracelet for it was similar to the flightmaster/speedmaster 1045 etc and didnt support it as well as it could have done. i should have changed to the mesh which, as i...
Thank you, Ming!

I am very pleasantly surprised at the details of the mesh bracelet. But the best thing was that it looks great on Dr. No's wrist, and thus realizing that there is hope for the chicken sized wrist's out there, like myself, to wear this bad boy. Did they ga...

Thanks for the compliment. I tried to show case the bracelet with my pics as IMO it's a fantastic design in person. I'm not sure of the delivery or if it is available yet as the rep assisting us there was not very well informed. It really bother me that s...

Thanks for taking the time to take pictures of the Ploprof bracelet. Which version do you think works better on the watch? The steel bracelet version of the rubber strap version? I think this is one of the extremely rare cases where a watch looks equally ...
