Liquid Metal Planet Ocean live in Bangkok...

Jan 28, 2010,00:44 AM

The watch arrived at my local boutique about two weeks ago. I was informed of its arrival but did not make a deliberated attempt to go check it out.

That is until today when I was in the area for other business.

Very sharp, very glossy. A bit grayish, mirror-like at certain angles.

Watch comes in black presentation box. Bezel is what should be described as smudge magnet.

Watch number XXXX/1948 is engraved on the side not shown here.

One last decent pic. Can you see the grayish, mirror-like effect now?

And, to answer your question, no, I didn't buy the thing! My creditors wouldn't be too happy if I did. And the leap in MSRP from regular model is too significant in my opinion. Besides, I was told upon leaving that there is a taker for this baby already. It's the first of five units allocated for my country. The other four have yet to arrive.

Sorry about poor pic quality. It was taken in haste with a point and shoot.

I hope those of you who are interested in this model find these pics helpful. Good luck!

Ruckdee

what is Liquid Metal. Is this an Omega add-on. I have the same watch (without Liquid Metal) and this interests me.

Not a problem, Kasey . . .

After the initial press release regarding this watch, I was super excited about it, but I have to say it is not as overwhelming in live photos as I thought it would be. I'll have to see it in person to get the full effect perhaps. Cheers, Daos

Trust me the watch is nice if that is to one's taste. My pics don't do it justice.

But the price tag is more of a problem. That is in fact quite "overwhelming"! Ruckdee

Thanks for the pics
