Omega deployment clasp

  Hi, I just picked up a nice little piepan and this strap with deployment was on it. I've never seen one before, anyone have any idea?

Thats really neat, did your deployment come with the watch? I'm just wondering how old it might be, I suspect it is from the 70's because of the fatter Omega symbol. Have you considered changing your strap? I don't generally like black straps and I'm wond...

Mine dates to the early seventies but I've no idea exactly when Omega started to use them or for how long. As for replacing the strap, you've probably noticed the rivetted construction of the adjustment ends and how thin the strap is at that point. Unless... 

Simple but expensive replacement...

hi they are great straps... some were used on the chonostop line and alot of them were used on the Omega Electronic line of watches... But one of my favorite uses is on a old 1940s water resistant Omega !!! Too cool.... Good Hunting Bill Sohne

had i known that i would carry on collecting vintage Omega's i might have kept them, but i dont think they suit any that i have. as long as they are being used well thats all that matters. best G

Hi G Yup I think you sent two to me... I am having fun using them once again a big thank you to you G. I had the same clasp on a corform ( FAKE leather ) !! the blue color of the strap came off on my wrist and took a week to fade away !! The straps I got ...

Hi. The clasp you bought is the original watchband for the 1967 or 1968 Omega Chronostop Geneve, which has a grey face and a red sweep stop watch hand. I own one, but no longer have the original band. See the third watch in the first row at www.old-omegas...
