Ok where is the love for the Prebond Seamaster 200m
Hello everyone......
I came across a watch in a watchmakers "junk" draw.... A Seamaster 200 m automatic chronometer all steel with full length steel bracelet with flip loc clasp and divers extension..... This example is the 37 / 38 mm. Mid size example ..
I had to rescue this watch from the box of junk......
It's running great the sweep second hand floats smoothly around the dial. The crown screws down as it should. I took a peek at the movement sorry no pics but it was gleaming under the anti mag cap and heavy screwback case . The movement is gold glit and stunning in appearance..
I would love to come across a full size version at some point.....
Does anyone have one in there junk box?

I saw one just like yours ...
Other day on the wrist of a guy on a drugstore. I stare so much that the owner of the watch started to become uneasy. That was the first and last time that I saw one. Congratulations, Nil

i had a 2 tone chronometer model same size as yours, pretty uncommon compared to the quartz models i think. i just foumd it a bit small, but now i wear 33mm vintage Omegas. oh how our twisted minds work. cant believe someone was going to chuck it out. goo...

That is the best hand/movement configuration too. These are more often seen with Rolex style "Mercedes" hands which in my opinion just look wrong on an Omega. But the sword hands on your example are great. You also see lost of quarts examples but much few...
Agreed - I also find this . . .
. . . the most favorable iteration of modern entry-level Seamasters. The absence of a helium valve and the appearance of the bracelet are the main factors in forming my opinion.
I need to find a watchmaker with that kind of junk drawer...
A rescue that I also would have been happy to participate in. :)
