By: Mark in Paris : March 26th, 2014-07:20
Omega has launched their 2014 novelties. We already talked about the new Mark II in previous threads But, now, the new Seamaster 300 Master Co-Axial shows its nose. It is equipped with the 8400 caliber and the anti-magnetic technology introduced in 2012. ...

Case and bezel

I knew you would like it. It is available with a Steel case and matching bracelet or a bi-color steel+rose gold (18K "Sedna" gold as they call it, made with gold, Palladium and copper) The size is 41mm It also has a black ceramic polished bezel (Liquidmet...

yeah...this was a nice tribute by Omega..

luke warm on the faux index..but that's minor..nice release... the Speedie 45th is a bit much...

Agreed on the Speedie, but I am not a big fan of this Chrono, so I am biased.

But the SM 300... WOW! Best, my friend. Nicolas

So far....i wold put the 300 in my Top 3 for the show

VERY tempting

First one is easy...

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 26th, 2014-13:05
....the Rolex GMT. I think it is a star. The Omega is clearly there too. I actually don't have a clear third. The Patek steel is not to my taste, nor is the Patek Nauty. Super-complications also don't ring my bell....so i am reserving judgment on my third...

I would add a theoretical High End GP and Ulysse Nardin.

 By: amanico : March 26th, 2014-13:07
Theoretical, financially speaking. Horologically, it is certain. ;) Best, Nicolas

I am rating on the basis of how high on my own buy-list they would be

 By: Baron - Mr Red : March 26th, 2014-13:08
Of course, one can also rate on horological esteem ... but that is a different question

Omega DeVille Tresor!

 By: Anatol : March 26th, 2014-13:22
I just checked it on the Omega site, what a nice classic design. Also, the Speedmaster Mk II is very nice. Omega has some nice re-issues on their hands, indeed. Does not speak too much for their more modern designs, though... With age I seem to be develop...

Agreed. I've been waiting on this one . . .

. . . for over a year, ever since first hearing of the development of a manual winding co-axial escapement caliber. A dateless version would move to the top of my wish list.

It seems they spoted precisely right

especially for collectors who are used to possessing vintage watches.

The only negative point is the see through case back...

 By: amanico : March 28th, 2014-09:28
Which is not very coherent for a serious diving Watch... Best, Nicolas

The eye of the hawk

By: Mark in Paris : March 28th, 2014-09:42
It's indeed not the most true to the original but I guess they had to adapt the concept to nowadays client demand. Mark

WOW!

Well it seems this S300 (not the car) is ticking many of our fellow purists' boxes. A very balanced neo retro vintage indeed. Go for it heir Goldfinger! Cheers, Mark

I will do Mark...

 By: Le Chiffre : March 29th, 2014-09:48
As soon as possible will get the Seamaster 300, this ones reproduces the Beauty of the CK2913 !! Also the Mark II is very tempting. All the best amigo! Armando

Must say that I didn't see that one coming...

The Seamaster 300 re-addition was a surprise for me! Like it a lot - need to be seen in real. The Mk II looks to be very well made, need to have a closer look at that one as well.... Thank you for sharing these, Mark! Best Blomman

Neo-retro Omega mastery

By: Mark in Paris : March 27th, 2014-11:54
The least we can say is that they could very skilfully create their no-retro line up. I wasn't a fan of the X33, but really think the Mark II and S300 are perfectly balanced. Cheers, Mark

Fantastic

Its great to see Omega finally pulling out the stops and outputting such truly beautiful watches. Am sure this will push them back where they belong, straight to the top of the list of collectors who've waited long to see good watches leaving this factory...

My pleasure

By: Mark in Paris : March 28th, 2014-01:52
and yes,it's a great year for Omega. Cheers.

Definitely my new watch!

 By: Starman : March 27th, 2014-15:57
Haven't reacted on a post for quite some while but this one pulled the trigger. The seamaster is really a winner, cannot wait to see it in the flesh. Cheers, Starman

Another vote for the 300
