The remarkable QuadRetro Chronograph and WHY some people buy it (from:Gerald Genta)

This was and remains today a remarkable watch from my over exposed and often over loaded choices of chronographs. From the first days of my Speedmaster, to the first Lange Datograph,  the coming of the DeBethune Maxichrono is something to wait for. I reflect that until TODAY..even with many funky watches and edgy designs..I still don't have enough wealth to buy with out "resale" value...I simply don't have THAT much money.  If I did...and I should hope to be so..I would really want to look at T

Big, White, Beauty : Bell & Ross BR03-92 A Woman’s Perspective   While perusing various showcases and shops on a recent getaway to the “city of lights”, something rather white and bright caught my eye.  Immediately, I recognized the signature round dial in a square case from the Bell & Ross collection of watches.  However, this was one I hadn’t yet seen before.  Intrigued, I summoned the sales associate for a closer look. It was a BR03-92 with a white ceramic

Form follows function: The Porsche Design by IWC Ocean 2000 (from:Horological Meandering)

In 1978, amidst the quartz crisis, IWC and Porsche Design began a collaboration that would last twenty years and spawn many ground breaking timepieces. One of them was the world’s first wristwatch with titanium case and bracelet, the ref. 3700 automatic chronograph. The collaboration was a commercial success and helped saved IWC amidst the quartz crisis; according to Michael Friedberg, moderator of the official IWC forum, “Anecdotal reports claim that, back in the early 1980s, [the ref. 3700] an

The Platinum Reversos...The Review (from:JLC)

While reading all the JLC documents and books, I fell on some very nice Platinum Reversos, and started thinking on how many were made. As I was trying to number them, I suddenly was conscient that it was quite a possible thematic collection, as they are quite a lot,but not too many, and interesting as they cover some interesting complications, and to be more precise, quite all the complications, except the Minute Repeater! The main problem is that this kind of collection is quite impossible to
