But dial has either been redone or chemically cleaned so as to damage the lettering.  I would not buy it unless the price was sufficiently low.

.....Edouard Wenger SA (the number 1 inside the key on the case back) and he made many a case for Omega but the dial is refinished and done badly. Such a shame as good gold C shapes are quite hard to come by. The movement has been mauled as well. Cheers A...

At the end, it was a misunderstand. I'm hunting, with all patience, a SS one. They are quite common here but an untouched one is hard to find. But, for me, the hunt is 80% of the fun. Cheers, Nilo

I get probably as much fun from the 'hunt' as I do from acquiring the piece - so keep hunting!!! Here are a couple of my C shape Connies - the stainless steel one is no longer with me alas but the gold one is one of the very early C shapes with a cal 561 ...
