Omega 2627-8SC Proper Crown

May 22, 2014,17:23 PM

I need a little help with the correct Crown for the ref. 2627 with a 353, the watch is Gold-Capped.
The watch came with a Stainless Signed Mushroom Cap crown which I'm sure is incorrect.
Would the Gold Clover Leaf style be the proper crown for this reference or a Gold Mushroom Cap?

Thanks, Jim

. . . necessarily be originally fitted, Jim, for two reasons. First, I've seen several American Seamasters with the rounded crown, including a ref 2627 I've just discovered locally. Second, and more to the point, I was able to confirm the crown on my '56 ...

It really is confusing

Hi Art, I did look at the Ofrei site and they indicated that the Clover-leaf was the correct Crown but I've seen too many of the Mushroom caps that looked proper. The reason I need to replace it is because the 2627 I have is Gold-capped and the crown that...

Rounded crowns may be correct...

. . . is precisely the same as the one available locally, gator - champagne dial, in steel. Thanks for posting that extra inducement! :-)
