Seen at AD yesterday: No. 1447/1957 Anniv. Speedmaster
Jun 15, 2008,05:12 AM
In steel. It was nice to see it as it is certainly uncommon, but I was under-impressed by the watch itself. The effect of the domed AR sapphire crystal with the enamel dial leaves it looking weirdly purplish. Think the allure for that one is completely in its exclusivity.
Also saw the NZL-32 in person for the first time ever. Not my bag, but it looks considerably less odd in person.
I was wearing my X-33. The clerk graciously offered to let my trade in my "Timex."
