steel versus leather

I like this watch. I think the strap or bracelet is one of those things that makes a real difference in the mind of the person wearing the watch. I have a couple 18 kt Seamasters with 18 kt bracelets and I've never worn them because I do not like the appearance. They are great watches but I usually have a Connie PiePan with a leather strap on my wrist. Another advantage is that the leather straps usually do not try to remove the hair from my wrist.

Nice addition to your collection. I find the hidden crowns are a beautiful design and it seems to make the dial appear larger than it really is, but the crowns themselves seem to be very difficult to use.

What a difference a strap makes.........................

I bought this mid-60s Constellation a couple of months ago because I felt sorry for it!! It was sitting there languishing with nobody wanting it. Yes, it looked a bit tatty and had a grubby face but it was a Connie after all and a hidden-crown, pie-pan on...

i like it on both to be honest

Hi Aroma I have spent hours going thru bags of straps looking for that "one" strap that will set off the dial just right! I have purchased straps years ago .... just because it was my size ... but I figure i would someday own a watch that it would match !...
