Update - Wife's lastest acquisition has arrived

Sep 03, 2010,07:41 AM

We got confirmation this afternoon that my wife's latest Omega has arrived. I won't say what it is, but it's just as spectacular as the chocolate DeVille and just as rare as well. Neither the watch or the magnificent movement has ever been seen on this forum or indeed on ANY of the other forums. I'll only say that it beats at 25200 bph, has silicon, the latest generation of the coaxial escapement and is completely blinged out. Lol, even the movement is blinged out!!! Her girl friends are gonna feel so jealous and I hope they don't choke on their cosmopolitans. This watch is the complete expression of Omega's horological aesthetic. It truly is a wonder! You'll see what I mean! I wouldn't dare give my wife, a great woman, something that is common. She doesn't deserve it. What is really wonderful is the effort Omega is making to look after the ladies with high end state of the art horology. Mere bling alone just will not do and I can't thank Omega enough for realizing this. I truly get a kick out of seeing my wife wearing stunning Omegas.

Invariably I'm always disappointed that our better halves have the lesser watch while the guy has the better watch. It's very typical. I find it incredibly condescending, and indeed sexist, the prejudice that woman are happy enough with quartz watches, that somehow they have an inability to appreciate good mechanical watches, or least that mechanical watches don't interest them!!!!!! Just like the better husbands, the better manufacturers like Omega know otherwise.
