The two cal. 861 seamaster chronos are a great pair. You obviously have a love of 70's design like my self and Omega represents the best of this in my opinion. In my circle of closest friends we have a bullhead and a ploprof like yous, may I sugest you may want to turn your collecting gaze toward the pilot line watches. Here are mine a flightmaster from '73:

And a Seamaster 200 which has an interesting patina on the hour markers and hands that contrasts nicely with the slate grey of the dial:

Welcome and thanks for sharing you collections.

Regards,

Zac

Hi all, Thanks for all your kind comments to my post 'New to Omega @ Purist' below. I will eventually put up some user reviews and justifications on my choice of collection. But suffice to say I love big watches. Seems like the big cases from the yesterye...

Tasty combo of watches, to say the least. Rolex=BORING! My cousins in Switzerland were never big on Japanese watches, but it seems the Swiss have recognized them for what they are, the 'best in the East', whereas Omega (and anything Swiss) is honored as '...

Some of my Seikos...

I was wondering where I should post some of my pics of my Seikos...perhaps just one or two here and the rest at HoMe...? I have always loved the caliber 6139 and 6138 automatic chronographs. Considering that they were manufactured back in the 70s, these m...

Very nice collection, Elveez!

I must admit that I strongly begin to have a certain weakness ( is it a prudent approach, enough? ) for the Ploprof, and yours is really impressive! That's not that the others are not interesting, but when you'll know me better, you will see that I'm a bi...

Great collection, Elveez

Particularly that Bullhead. I only have Seiko and Citizen bullheads, though I have gone off Chronographs, that is a great watch. I'd love to see your Seiko collection. Mine are mostly dive watches, and nothing special, except for a mildly interesting Hi-b...

Ploprof my favorite too!

Much prefer this to the new model. Thoughts on the left hander?( very rare?) Saw one today. cheers Fernando P.S. Nicolas - You absolutely have to have one of these in your awesome diver collection.

Left-hand Ploprof?

I guess you are talking about this g From what I know, it is the exact same watch as the 'right hand' Ploprof but the dial had been put on 180 degrees around. Perhaps someone else could weigh in on this too? Cheers, Elveez...

Elveez, from what i understand the date ring for the ploprof is extremely hard to obtain if not impossible, bearing in mind it operates in a backwards motion compared to the date ring on the same movement in other watches, so when during servicing people ...

Hi, Elveez, Love your collection of rare birds. I am slowly making my way into vintage Omega, and posts like yours make me want to get into even faster I must say that your PloProf is, to my taste, the coolest one! Yours is a beauty! Many thanks for shari...

I especially love the Bullhead. At the Boutique a few weeks ago, they had one of the new Bullhead watches on a temporary basis, until the model is officially re-introduced. It is quite big, but a beautiful watch and quite comfortable, too. Looking forward...
