3923 Should I ?

Considering my first PP, a 3923 J. Other than being small, as is my wrist, any thoughts?

3796 would be a better choice .....

..... there is also 5096J. slightly larger but with sapphire back. If you dig deeper, there is also 3796 made for the Japanese market , only 100 pieces in both J and G.

May I ask why you have chosen this one?

For most it may be small, but I like it the way it is - very classic. My favourite version is the 3923 "white metal" with grey dial, LE (50) for Japan. Of course nothing is wrong with J, it´s just a matter of personal taste Oliver

The sapphire back certainly adds to the watch as well as to the price. I saw this in the pre-owned display of a jewelry store and the classic appearance and price caught my eye. It seems like an iconic piece in some ways.

You can check out the 5023J if you want a larger version

and it's a rarer find. It has a screwed back and is large (around 34mm). It is not a limited production but the period was very short (only for a year or so, AFAIK), and it's only produced in yellow gold. Happy hunting! Francis

Thanks for the thoughts

I decided to get the 3923, and I love it! Yellow gold with silver dial, understated. Thanks for the ideas, I enjoyed looking up your suggestions. They are all beautiful
