Cool...

Hi Kari,

Juz sharing with you how a sub looks on a lady's wrist from Jeff's thread smile

IMO it looks cool !!!

I'm on your side that we need not follow the oversize watch fashion and believe that we really need to try it on before falling in love with it. I was under the impression that all Rolex sport models are meant for men with the only the datejusts meant for the ladies until recently, I had check out a green sub with my wife. When my wife tried it on, it changes my opinion. Yes, it might look slightly big but not to the extent that it overkills. At least, it doesnt feel thick and cause a discomfort feeling that you'll knock onto surrounding things.

At 40mm, it's her second largest wristwatch ( largest being 42mm BR03-92 military ). I think it does add a bit of character to the rest of her favourites such as Santos100 (size M), J12 Marine (38mm), GG Mickey F1 Fantasy (36mm), JLC Mastercompressor GMT Ladies ceramic (39mm) and PP annual calendar (37mm).

I think Rolex will not reduce the sub's size since it's such a legendary icon, it could destory its DNA in doing so. I was in your same shoe before and I do hope your GF and girls will be able to find their desirable Rolexes soon.

Weekend is coming....Happy yatching!

For meJuly was a reasonably good month: I got a new Submariner from Tokyo and a new Yacht Master from Athens. For years I have loved my "Marine Inspired" sport watches like PP Nautilus, AP Royal Oak, VC Overseas, Breguet Marine, Blancpain Aqua Lung. But s...

This is the while watch which is fascinating... The combination of the dial, the bezel and the case. I surprised myself to even love the color of the indexes, which has a nice chronomatic nuance and works well with this dial. The dial is THE killing detai...

I also noticed that the case is rounded and all in all, the watch feels very sophisticated and a different Rolex. My next thing is to buy a medium sized YM for my GF and three medium/small ones for my daughters. They are all divers. What I find very surpr...

Some women like smaller watches, something they call feminine. I have tried some of my 40 mm watches on the wrists of my kids and GF and they all find that size too large. Furthermore, they would not like to wear a men's watch. In my opinion the boys' siz...

Subs on ladie's wrists

 By: dr.kol : July 29th, 2010-23:22
Hi hhk2, I am sure that a Submariner fits to many ladies. It depends on their style and body structure. My daughters are lightly built as well as my GF. In their case a smaller Sub on 35 mm class would be just perfect. I have tried the 40 mm Subs and the ...

Jag tackar Jocke, I admire your pictures very much and hope that one day in some GTG or similar you would give the other Purists some advice how to take better pictures. You can be sure that I would be there. Mvh, Kari
