FIRST " WaterProof" Omega chronograph.. early example !

Dec 19, 2007,04:25 AM

Hi Tom

I have a early Omega chronometre Pre-Rg movement with similar  style caseback with the case serial number on the outside.  My watch is from 1941.

The 33.3 CHRO  chronograph in this auction appears to be a case reference CK 2077.   The CK 2077 is the first water resistant wrist chronograph that Omega offered.   This model was introduced in 1937.  So the early exterior caseback would be correct for this model.   I had an example from the late 40s that did not have the exterior case markings and only the case ref number and typical Omega markings inside..

It is an uncommon watch in what appears to be in excellent condition for its age.

Good Hunting
