Hi Graham, I think you might be wrong...   IMHO the dial is original and it is not so unusual to find 600 Seamsters with black dial and even with red Omega logo. I have seen several of them over the last years... which were original and without any doubt....

there you go, my mistake....

nice watch Joel, i'm still on the lookout for an sm600 and sm30 from 1964. both quite important to a collection as one has the 6XX handwind range and the other the last of the 30mm derivatives like the 286. there are always a selection available, but i'm ...

the black dial was original omega version

 By: fgf : September 3rd, 2009-06:37
The dial may be unusual but is/was original omega. I have a 600 of my own ca. 1965 with this black dial, recenly fully restored and re-painted by Omega workshops.

one pic avail

This is the watch. Taken after re-paint work. case back is the usual one....

wow, very nicely done...

many thanks for the pic. it looks perfect to me. it also make me rest assured that the dial of my watch is original. you know one of my friends show me one magazine that there is the same dial but in white. it would be very interesting to get one in white...
