For rusty lovers only: the sexiest . . .

. . . Omega movements ever!

One of our local Purists, not to mention early member of the alphabet soup gang, has been on a vintage Omega tear recently.  From scratch in just a few months, he's accumulated an impressive collection.  Yesterday, we met up at my watchmaker's establishment for an assessment of his trove.  Most of them require attention, but they're all fundamentally sound.

Here are images of the most interesting movements: 30T2rg . . .

. . . cal 352 (in a Seamaster Chronometre, no less!) . . .

. . . and 30T2SC . . .

. . . with nickel finish.

He will be posting images and background stories of all after they're returned from the watchmaker.

. . . of the 30T2SC, with a bit of relief from the harsh indoor lighting. La belle or la bĂȘte ? ...

False advertising...

There is not a bit of rust on any of those beauties. Wonderful movements and shots. Cheers, Nilo

Actually, there is corrosion . . .

. . . in the keyless works of the 30T2rg. If you download the first image and magnify the section next to the crown, you'll see the rust. Not to worry, though - it can be removed.

Ok. No pressure now.

I never told you I will be taking pics and posting the background stories on these pieces, but now I guess I am committed. While the watches are being serviced, I will try to improve my photography skills.
