Team,

Other day I mentioned to a dear friend my Speedmaster box and his reply was to handle to me next day a box.

Carried the box to home and ...

Surprise:

The commemorative medallion:

Here is the front of the medallion:

The Speedmaster:

Standard speedy, if we can call a Speedmaster Professional a standard:

Case back. I'm sorry, I didn't clean the watch:

Quite sexy on my wrist:

Love the eagle on top of the running seconds:

Notice the red writing of the GMT/UTC hour of the moon landing:

Gorgeous even in B&W:

After this quick photo session, I was wondering:

Why the Speedmaster is so attractive?

Case design?
Dial?
Hands?

or

Everything?

Thanks for seeing.
Have a great Sunday,

Nil

. . . originally issued that very year when men first walked on the moon. There are really two mysteries regarding the universal appeal of the Speedmaster. The first is the one you've identified, namely, what accounts for its powers of persuasion. The sec...

Never thought about it, but yes, you're right . . .

. . . they seem to appeal mainly to men. I once dated - or should I say, I dated once - a woman who regularly wore a Seadweller. Lot's of 'em seem to like Rolex and, curiously enough, Panerai, but Speedmasters just don't seem to resonate with the distaff ...

About Speedmaster x ladies ...

 By: nilomis : January 19th, 2015-13:53
My theory is that ladies don't like chronographs (some start poses with a Daytona but they are posers). My wife, Rita, only have one chronograph is her "stable" but is a very special one: This Omega Museum (that she subtracted from my wrist): She never pa...

Update: did a small test ...

I just arrived from a great dinner (me and wife, a dear friend wnd wife). As a test, I show to the ladies a very nice chronograph (not Omega but IWC) and the impressions were: "Very nice but too much thick" "Nice but bulky" Now I believe that ladies disli...
