Sometimes one can't resist.

I saw a week ago the pictured watch available. It was NOS and unused, complete, still partly stickers and the price was right.

Today at 14:30 the FedEx man was behind the door and I opened the packet, removed the stickers and placed the watch to my wrist. Never seen this before and never thought I would acquire one. But here I am with a new Baby...

Naturally the watch was expensive. I paid for that around 90% of the price of a new non-date Rolex Submariner. But I do not feel it was terribly much because the box is made of wood and the instruction manual 470 pages. LOL!

Best, Kari

This Omega is a true object of desire!!! A friend owns one and I had the opportunity to take some pictures. Massive but classy: Have a good Brazilian coffee on me: The rattrapante complication puts the cherry on top of the cake. Congratulations, Nilo ...

I like the red on the split second pusher

I especially like it because it doesn't look like your typical Omega (not that a typical Omega is a bad thing :)) Aloha, Bob

Very nice, Kari! :)

. . . of famous last words! "I just couldn't resist." :-) Here's an image from my files, ca '09, of a dark dial variant. Notice the differences in dial layout and especially the matte finish of the case and bracelet. If I had actual need of a split, this ...

Need of a split?

Nobody needs a split second chronograph. But it's bloody difficult to be without when having an opportunity acquiring one. I do not need chronographs and in reality I nearly never wear a chronograph. Okay, sometimes I check the boiling time of eggs... Any...

Congrats

I think one of the most unappreciated and under the radar of the Deville line. For those in the know! Especially the rattrapante. Enjoy

Congrats Kari!

Dr. Kol, Well, recently I acquired a DeVille Ratrapante myself (Happy!) and I started looking for the post that put me on this split second miracle in the first place. It was your post! What strikes me now in your post is your mention of a wooden box. You...

Delightful lugs

 By: wover : August 8th, 2015-09:06
Dr. kol, The lugs are things of beauty. I tend to give them a gentle caress before I enjoy the smooth action of the pushers and watch the red pointed hand stop, start, catch up or fly back. You don't know what you're missing. Start wearing it already! Wov...

I have so many watches that I simply can't wear them all. I have tried hard to reduce but... without remarkable success. Best, Kari
