Since 40 minutes for me HAGWE...

Back on the wrist …

 By: AndrewD : June 17th, 2010-15:56
… after a week with a pocket watch is this classic; and it feels good. Don’t understand why some people were slow to adopt the wrist watch after the First World War. No introduction required for this one …...

Great photo Andrew...

What are we to do, Nicolas still hasn't caught on to this great piece? HAGWE, -- Richard.

 By: G99 : June 18th, 2010-02:13
my offering for the week is a vintage Omega, but not a speedy. best Graham

Thanks Graham ...

 By: AndrewD : June 18th, 2010-17:16
Thanks Graham, While the colours and pattern in the jacket are a little exaggerated in that photo, it does demonstrate how versatile the Speedy Pro is; it can be easily dressed up or down. Regards Andrew

Not yet but

 By: nilomis : June 17th, 2010-16:39
SInce I'm working, from here, on a project that targets Sweden ... let's say it's Friday, of a very long week. Using a Sub LN (Lunette Noire). A great weekend to all, Nilo...

Beautiful photo, Nilo !

 By: monochrome : June 18th, 2010-03:29

Thank you

 By: nilomis : June 18th, 2010-05:34
I'm doing a series of the recently discontinued Rolex models ("the departed" - translates to Portuguese as "fresh corpses"): - GMT II - Sub date - Sub LV/LN - SD Some day I will post the entire series, on the Rolex area, and the "making of". Cheers, Nilo

Great idea...

 By: monochrome : June 18th, 2010-05:41
And i love to see the photos of the entire series!

After a computer crash at work today...

 By: dxboon : June 17th, 2010-17:45
...(which I am still sorting out), I wish it was Friday now! Since posting my review of it this week, I've been missing this beauty. HAGWE! Daos...

Yes and for a change

 By: Quan : June 17th, 2010-19:19
after all these years with mechanic wacth(es) on the wrist all the time, I got this as a gift (or more of appreciation) HAGWE everyone...

After seeing all the soccer posts on TimeOut, I had to take this pic for the Friday scan

 By: ED209 : June 17th, 2010-21:03
Traveling in South America right now, and you can feel the enthusiasm for soccer all around the city. The 'Snoopy' giveaways were so cute I had to take this picture: Have a great weekend!!! Regards, ED-209...

 By: aboen : June 17th, 2010-22:53
This one is growing on me....might just have to hook up with one....someday ! Nice Pic ;-) Best Drew

Sadly it is a Friday without a Boston NBA title (but with a new watch!)

 By: Ginger : June 17th, 2010-21:16
Here is my new (well, pre owned) purchase. And Nicolas, you won't have to ask me to post additional photos - please check out my "ladies' watch week" post on HoMe for more details. Hope you folks in LA have a good weekend. Ginger Ulysse Nardin Michaelange...

My best friend's wife has exactly the same!

 By: amanico : June 17th, 2010-21:31
And he bought it for her while we were in Italy together... I know this watch very well, Ginger. I even tried it, and I loved it. Nice catch! Best, my friend. Nicolas This message has been edited by amanico on 2010-06-17 21:37:55

lovely UN Ginger and one rarely seen here in either ladies or gents sizes

 By: G99 : June 18th, 2010-02:20
i dont know why this model doesnt get much airtime as it is a great shape. perhaps its more suited to a ladies wrist than a gents and we are very short on lady purists. one never knows why some are often seen and others rarely seen. one of lifes mysteries...

I am really getting fond of UN

 By: Ginger : June 18th, 2010-10:01
And I like the Michaelangelo better in the smaller sizes - some of UN's designs don't scale well (IMHO) and get overwhelming in the really large watches. Have fun this week, G

i have a similar feeling...

 By: G99 : June 18th, 2010-12:18

HAGWE to All, Nicolas...

nice and simple....

 By: jxnco : June 17th, 2010-22:53
Base PAM's are, in my opinion the best looking Panerai's. All that history in a simple dial with a nice vintage strap to match.

Well, it is not a PAM

 By: amanico : June 18th, 2010-10:53
But a Pre V... The " PAM " is related to watches which came since 1997. In the Pre V era, the code is 5218 - 2xx or 3xx. Best! Nicolas

Very Nice PAM Nicolas...I love it!

 By: G99 : June 18th, 2010-02:25
sadly i had to sell my vintage GS's, but one day i will get another more modern one. i'd like a modern handwind. the finish on these pieces is superb, easily as good as many swiss brands. the Japanese should be very proud of their watchmaking prowess, esp...

Details ...

All these beautiful vintages …

By: blomman Mr Blue : June 17th, 2010-23:45
…that has been around lately, made me long for something old! Looked in the back of my safe and found this 35 year old lady. Wearing her today with great pleasure HAGWE Blomman...

that is a lovely original condition piece Blomman

 By: G99 : June 18th, 2010-02:27
it seems a shame that its been at the back of the safe for a long time. best Graham

Thanks, and you are absolutely right, Graham!

Blomman, she is lovely...

 By: FanFrancisco : June 18th, 2010-08:42
... dating with her should make you smile all the day dial color looks really nice, what was the original color? stefan

Yes it does…

By: blomman Mr Blue : June 19th, 2010-02:58
Thanks, Stefan! Yes, a date with her does put a smile on my face Original colour blue, faded into a copper brown… Best Blomman

color blue???

 By: FanFrancisco : June 19th, 2010-08:51

Very nice specimen of E 875, Blomman.

 By: amanico : June 18th, 2010-22:09
Tell me one thing, my friend: Is the box of your watch blue or brown? It should be blue, normally. If it is the case, I may have the solution, which would arrange you and me. Best, Nicolas

Brown…

By: blomman Mr Blue : June 19th, 2010-03:04
Thank you, Nicolas! The box is brown, purchased the watch incl. box and paper from an auction house some years ago. I was under the impression that the blue boxes was before the brown ones?! Best Blomman

I have the contrary feeling, Blomman.

 By: amanico : June 19th, 2010-04:16
To me, the brown box came before the blue one, which started in the early 70ies, my friend. So, the blue may be the correct one for your E 875, while the brown may be the good one for my E 855. Best, my friend. Nicolas

Strange…

By: blomman Mr Blue : June 19th, 2010-05:39
I have 6 JLC’s from the late 60 th and early 70 th with brown boxes. The blue boxes I have are in worse condition and I got separate without watch, so I have always assumed they were older… But when you think of if, the 90 th boxes are blue, so I might be...

One day, when I get a bit of time,

 By: amanico : June 19th, 2010-05:57
I will make a stack of my Vintage JLC boxes... That may be as fun as interesting. Best, Nicolas

So i'll try to enjoy it for two I also don't know much about Bedat. It has an ETA movement with big date. The attention to detail on the dial and case finish is just remarkable. Some of the details you just have to see "live" as these things can't get cap...

I agree...

Oui Nicolas, indeed we do...

 By: =RWK= : June 19th, 2010-00:42
Simply because, there is also A. Lange & Söhne, Glashütte Original, Jaeger-Le Coultre, The Big Pilot, Officine Panerai, Omega Speedmasters, and 24 h dials... I need at least one of each to survive ;-) Best, -- Richard....
