Hi All, I am slightly confused (but that's not unusual) by the 1960s Constellation model 168.004. I had thought that all these were the 'hidden crown' version but I have seen examples that show the crown and are referred to as 'non-hidden crown'. Did the ...

I have looked up the official Omega database for vintage watches... The information provided there clearly states "hidden crown" for the Ref. 168.004 kind regards erich

Hi Aroma, you may fully trust Desmond as he is a very well informed about Omegas and Constellations in special. The Omega website provides a lot of info but is not always complete... kind regards erich

The issue.. 'Dennison' cased example.. also how about a Pie pan dial example !

Thanks for the info and photos - I have just taken one of the rear of my Dennison cased Constellation which shows the recess where the crown fits. The crown is therefore semi-hidden and not non-hidden and my question is are all non-hidden crown Constellat...

of mine with an original 'hidden crown'. The crown was sightly visible and quite small. I have seen examples with non-hidden crowns on 168.004s that were claimed to be original, hence that comment in the article, but the definitive non-hidden crown versio...
