Many years ago I was helping a conservator take care of . . .
. . . a mutual friend, Rupen, who was unable to take care of himself in no small part due to his fondness for tequila.
We had to re-commit him to a nursing home after he fell off the wagon. I visited him the second day at his new digs. The nurse asked me a few questions, including one that took me by surprise.
"No, he doesn't have a dog. Why would he be asking about a dog when he doesn't have any pets at all?"
"Well, we asked him last night if he needed anything, and all he said was 'perro', which is Spanish for dog."
It took a moment to realize that what Rube was really saying was Cuervo.

Next tim yu're mixing tequila with fresh grapefruit juice try Cuervo Traditional. Surprising good, especially with fruit juice. Save the "Good Stuff" for rocks or shots.
