Tell us your romantic watch story.

A collegue recently told me an o so romantic story about how he surprised his wife with her dream watch (a Blancpain chronograph if my memory serves me correctly) and coincided it with a brand racing event. Then subsequently after hearing her express unfairness for the watch's lack of a sapphire caseback, specially coordinated with a boutique manager to have one secretly installed along with a new engraved rotor. Imagine the spouse's surprise when she received her watch back from a routine cleaning only to turn the watch over and to be able to see the watch's movement for the first time through the new sapphire caseback. And you can also imagine my reaction upon hearing this story. It was the usual called for response from females in these situations...I tilted my head sideways and let out a soft and sappy toned, "Awwww..." followed by "How romantic!"

So let's hear some more. Won't you share your romantic watch stories too?

Do you still have the watch?

It only qualifies if you still own the watch and have kept it because of that particular occasion. :)

Weeks back I decided to put a nice brown ostrich strap on my white "broad arrow". (The one on the left side) After the change, as I do normally, I asked if my wife for her impressions. She liked to much that she "confiscated" the watch that now is her day...

A classic watch, for a clasic event...

Lovely to have them captured here and to be able to revisit them. Would love to hear about the experience with the Reverso in the intervening 9 months . Perfect ladies watch too. Andrew
