The following is a partial transcription of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Incursions Editions Q&A presentation at the Hotel Del Coronado with JLC CEO Jerome Lambert and the U.S. Navy SEALs team.

Mr. Jerome Lambert

With Jaeger-LeCoutre, there is one way that speaks for us and speaks of what we are made of, and that's the world of 'reference'.  Reference in the world fine watch making.   We begin by opinion and finish by the most complicated watches....generation after generations, hours after hours, watch after watch.  That's all I would say in terms of our brand and in fine watch making.

Team PuristSPro

What do you look for in a timepiece when you go out on a mission?  Is there anything specific other then just telling time?

'SEALs #1' :

Well, one of the things we do before we go out on a mission is to synchronize our watches.  It's important to me that when I synchronize my watch with my team and i say 'one minute to 1800 hours' everyone will be able to synchronize all at once so that's going to affect time on target, affect which quick reaction force is coming in, it's going to affect the helicopter arriving, and if we aren't synchronized on a mission then we're passing a bad time, each other, friendly forces...That's something that's very important!

'SEALs #2' :

SEALs #1 and I were educated the past week about the craftsmanship, the movements, and all that....but we when we received the watches, we're operators and we're going to go out, and put it on, and we're going to do what we do.....on the street..... in the field.....in the water.......in the air.......and that's how I approach this.  I didn't baby the watch but I also didn't go out and abuse the watch.  I went out and did what I normally do when I'm diving or out in the field.

'SEALs #1' :

Of course you all know I have my other job where I go arrest bad people, go thru doors, using manual breaching tools.  So I was very happy when I sent back my questions and remarks and reports that I sent were receptive.  They receive it, the input was constructive.  From the band, to machining down certain points that I thought was a little sharp for me in the inside.

The instance where he [looking at Jerome Lambert] was talking about where I was going through a door and actually using a battering ram, the watch continue to function and still functions today.  It was just the matter of the bezel {referring to the lume dot coming off due to the repetitive sustained impact }. I felt we took it to the limit on everything.  We had a conversation this morning that this watch [points to his JLC BH NSA Incursions Edition] where I feel that.....wait a minute, I didn't want to go in the area or do something just because I'm wearing a $20,000 watch,  I just wanted to be able to do my mission, knowing that hey there's no taking any special consideration.  It's built for a purpose, to be used.  So that's how I used it, 365 days, 24/7.

'SEALs #2'

We have other things to think about.  I have to think about my load out, I have to think about what's in front of me, I have to think about who's on my right flank, I want my watch to tell the time and be accurate and that's what I want to think about.  I have all these other things to focus on and think about, and that's what makes the watch so great....you set it and forget it.  From the time we set out till the time we get back, our minds are on so many things the last thing I want to think about 'is my watch going to work?'  and I can tell you right now, we beat these watches up pretty badly and they worked great!  Several thousand rounds thru them , we dove them, used them for demo [demolition], we got a couple of pics where... his lead hand [pointing to SEALs #1] goes with the ram, where my following hand go with the ram.  I'd bang up my wrist but it never broke the watch, the watch performed flawlessly.

'SEALs #1' :

One of the comments that Jerome mentioned that on the tactical side you don't want anything shiny, or shine or illuminate off the moon, or the ocean or light.  On most watches, a lot of the guys will take velcro or something or even tape and cover it if they're diving.  Alot of  dive watches they've used in the past, like the Seikos,  and all those, we had to tape around any shiny parts up.  So it's important that any equipment and not just a watch that we use that will either clank or shine, we tape it up.  It's important that when I saw the matte finish and the black, those are was pretty but for us it's tactical.

We're going to be pushing the envelope more on the diving side with more pics and reports on this watch [points to the JLC Incursions] in the next few weeks but overall I'm impressed that a lot of companies either receive your comments and say thank you very much and you don't see any of the changes.  I had a issue with the band and in 2 days I had a band fedex'd.  So that I think they received the comments, they addressed and worked toward fixing any of our recommendations.

Jerome Lambert:

The small dot at indication of the 12 at the bezel, something was not strong enough in terms of to the resistance after a couple of tests and exercise we had to check it and fix it and we had to change the technique in the bezel itself so that it resists the impact, tests, and exercises.  When you see the lighting of this one [pointing to the JLC Incurson Editions on his wrist] compared to the alarm, you see very superior reinforced lighting. They said it was ok and quite bright but not enough, so on feedback we put extra superluminova so that's even more visible in say example dark water.

'SEALs #2':

You don't want someone over on the side of you to be able to see the glow but when you need to see the face [looks at the dial of his JLC Incursions] you can only see the glow when look directly at it which is cool....very tactical like, a tactical asset of the watch.

Team PuristSPro

How has it held up in real world conditions?

'SEALs #2'

There's no scratches at all.  all along, It's incredible, [looking at his incursion] the watch compared to his [looking over to a SEAL who is wearing a new Incursion].....versus his watch it's  [looking back his Incursion] virtually brand new.

Jerome Lambert :

Titanium V is a very strong and I would say not a weak material.  And the other thing as well is you can weigh them, it is the weight of each of them.  each watch even the chrono is a large watch and the total weight, thanks to the titanium.

'SEALs #1' :

I wore it out, I was jumping out in Croatia last year and doing 3 times a day.

Milan :

What??? Croatia??  (laughs)

'SEALs #1' :

(joking) I was there chasing Milan for felony coercion.... (laughter from everyone in the room)

As you can see from the picture over there [Points to the wall poster shown below]

It's being worn next to the altimeter, and it was fine there, but in temperature where it was colder, I had a longer jump suit and gloves on, and it was one of my comments was with the band, if they make the band a little longer. Because i may want to buckle under canopy.  Once I'm under canopy and I pull high and I'm executing moves under canopy I want to see my watch and I wanna to see the time as I move towards the target I don't want to start looking under my jacket as i want to see it right there.

'SEALs #1' :

I'll go on record telling you that SEALs #2 and I, we're not here paid as paid spokesmen.  I haven't been given a watch, I was ask to do this as a favor to test and I took this task very seriously over the year and it was a great experience.

It's been great coming out here this week and to meet all of you!

The SEALs wore the watch a whole year? Since June 2009? I was aware that the BH NSA was born before, but I thought it was the project, not the watch. Can you enlighten me on this point, Ming? Best, Nicolas
