I was told it was by someone on this forum who knows more than I do. But I would like to have his statement backed up by other forum members before I contact the dealer/ thanks, Todd p.s. I am having difficulty with my old macro lens so please bear with m...

The middle cross arm of the "E" should be shorter that the ones above and below. Our real experts will probably point out other issues.

Thanks

Thanks. I am hoping more people will weigh in so I can show it to the seller...

It's clearly a redial

Dear Todd In my oppionion the dial is most defenitely a redial. The overall look is quite off, because the ring of dates are too far from the rim. The tip of the hour hand has been coloured to mask it now beeing to long. Several elements are downright wro...

Bill Sohne please give your opinion!

Hi Bill, As a recognized and respected Omega expert I think that your words will have gravity when I try to reason with the seller of this watch and explain to him that it's a re-dial. I would be most grateful for your opinion. thanks Todd

. . . in this thread, I'm wondering if any Cosmic ever left Bienne with a 'scientific' dial. Can't remember any offhand . . .

"scientific"

Hi, What is a "scientific dial"? thanks

"Scientific" is a loose term used to describe . . .

note the dissonance between the dirty day and date wheels, and the remarkably clean dial. Danger Will Robinson!

Indeed, THAT is the one thing that I picked up when

I received the watch...wishful thinking on my part thought that perhaps the dial had been "cleaned". <sigh> On a positive note, the dealer has been terrific and is offering full refund.. thanks for the reply Tony..

it appears to be a redial to my eyes as well....

HI Another thing to note, the date numbers are typically paint to match the color of the date indicator hand... (typically blue ) .... I would return it as non-original painted factory dial.... Good Hunting bill Sohne

Tnanks Bill..

The dealer/seller is an extraordinarily gracious man who accepted it back with both apologies and a full refund. I am posting my older, dirtier and (I'm pretty sure) original cosmic in a new thread. thanks! Todd

I love happy endings! . . .
