The 'scientific' dial Omegas are very hard to find in that condition.

You have great taste and an excellent eye for detail. What year from the 50's is it? I am currently looking hard for a vinatge piece from the same decade. And currently have my eye on a couple of pieces. Two are also Omega's & one a Longines.

According to the serial no. I am trying to find out a bit more about the watch at the Omega Vintage watch database. I think that I will need to get mroe detailed info from the inside of the case, though. I have been searching for a mint condition vintage ...

for just the right vintage piece. I was literally stunned by the condition, and I still am. Very difficult to take my eyes off the watch when I am out. It is the first of this type of dial that I have actually seen in person. Cheers, Carl
