I stumbled on to this 30t2RGSC about a month ago while surfing eBay......

It had some obvious issues: no crystal, dial completely shot, and second hand is wrong; and some not-so-obvious issues: a couple of Chronometre grade parts hard been replaced by Non-Chronometre parts (thanks Erich).

But I liked that is was two-tone, and especially that it was rose gold. So I tossed what I thought was a low-ball bid at it and was pleasantly surprised to be the winning bidder a just over $900.
I was even more surprised when a replacement dial came up on eBay little more than a week later (thanks Art). It was far from perfect, but clearly an upgrade and so I pounced on it.

A suitable dial and generic second hand were relatively easy to find, and the "new" dial fit perfectly. This is one that may only be appreciated by "Purists", but is apparently a very rare iteration of a classic Omega 30mm Chronometre. Thanks again to Erich and Art for their guidance. Comments and further recommendations appreciated.

I love the 30t2rg. I regrettably sold mine a while back. It's a wonderful caliber and wear it in the best of health!

Love restoration stories like yours, especially when . . .

. . . the Omega getting renovated is a rare reference. And CO 2365 is most definitely rare . . . I wasn't even aware of its existence until receiving Erich's book last year. 'CO' is the designation for 'steel case + 14 kt pink gold bezel'. I'd seen 236 7 ...

Sorry, I thought the small one would enlarge......

This is from the seller. I have polished the screws a bit, and replaced the click with Chronometre version. Will post updated pic tomorrow. Other suggestions? ...

Here's a pic of the movement in my ref 2365 . . .

Did Erich identify issues with yours besides the click? ...

centre wheel and transmission wheel

centre wheel and transmission wheel over 3rd wheel should be replaced as they need the chamfers on the rim and spokes. They show up from time to time but donĀ“t pay too much for them... some sellers ask eye-waterings amounts. IMO $20 each would be about ri...

Ah, so that's probably why Al indicated mine needed . . .

. . . replacement - not because they were worn, but on account of being incorrect. Thank you, Erich! Art
