First, I've never come across this lady's model . . .
. . . Professional with red bezel insert and purple dial, in gold trim no less. (Perhaps it was even solid gold - please let us know if you have details.)
Second, this titanium Alaska Mk II . . .
. . . also doesn't ring any bells, and as a fan of the genre, it should have. One can only hope Omega's product development bureau is looking into an updated Professional version (i e, cal 1861 / 1863). This could get me back in the chronograph game in a flash!
Most illuminating of all, though, is learning the aventurine Moonphase dial . . .
. . . is made of aventurine glass, and not stone. I remember looking it up a few years ago when this model was introduced and wondering, "Hmm, most aventurine seems to be green." Now, I know!
