Hhmmm ...

I tried the regular Omega tang buckles. Now I found a pic in another forum, and think to understand what you mean:

However, the tang on this buckle is much wider than the gap on my nylon strap can accomodate.

But I will ask my friends at Swatch Group, maybe they know more, so the shame of the decade (or century?), the TAG buckle on a genuine Omega strap, can be cured.

EDIT: Just did some research: The tangs on the Omega rubber strap buckles are 7mm wide, while the gap in my nylon strap is only 5mm wide, so these stainless steel buckles won't fit my strap. Apparently, this strap is exclusively used on the DSOTM and therefore is always combined with the specific ceramic buckle.

Speedmaster fans generally agree that a real Speedmaster must be combined with a steel bracelet: Unfortunately, I never felt really comfortable with steel bracelets. Consequently, every watch bought with a bracelet sooner or later finds itself on a strap....

Great strap, Marcus! :)

But my Omega friends here, or should I say addicts, would die if they see a Tag buckle on a Speedy. Did you tried another Omega buckle, like the ones used on rubber straps? Cheers, Nilo

This would be a great strap, but is not wide enough ...

... since the Co-axial Speedy has 21mm straps, like the new 9500 Speedmasters. For the price of these straps, I would rather not tolerate the inevitable gap caused by the missing mm. Marcus
