and the moderator.  Omega has the richest vintage history of all brands bar none - I think the variety of the brand is just unparalleled.  And of course Bill is a huge vintage enthusiast and expert - he sets the tone in this forum.  Of course the forum is blessed to have so many vintage watch enthusiasts who share their knowledge and enjoy being part of the discussions.

Another Observation on the 30t2rg Scientific dial Chronometre

Seems like the sub-second version typically came with the small subsecond chapter, not the oversize chapter. That is a shame. Any comments on that. bob

Actually from what i have seen the original dials had the oversized subseconds.

Note the "properly"calibrated minute tracks on these beauties. I would say the best of these dials have oversize seconds chapters and undivided (into fifths) minute tracks. A cross hair configuration, too, wouldn't hurt. Bob

An observation

These 2 examples don't really have the max-oversize- note that the top of the seconds bit is somewhat distant from the center of the watch below the minute and hour hands; whereas, in Bill's example the bit extends much closer to the center. Also, are the...

Bill, The Chronometre with the oversized sub bit that I was referring to was is in a 35mm case. Have you ever seen the large bit in a 35mm? Crownguard

To Confirm

Wow, what a watch! Just to confirm, your's is the 35.5mm (without crown) version? No matter the size it is a dream. Crownguard

It doesn't belong to me.

Hi Crownguard. I lost the fierce battle in Jordan last year and what left for me are some pics. I also have 3 sub second versions which look like Mike's and some 35mm SC with "Scientific Dial"....
