Interesting and informative post about the lovely Ranchero model...

... often thought of as a "poor brother" of the Railmaster.
I would love to find one, very rare here in my Country. It´s a pity many have had their dials replaced as this destroyed their collectors value as well as its charm I feel.
Estanciero is the name given in Mexico to the owner of the Rancho (ranch).
Here in my Country -Argentina- we call Estanciero to the owner of the big Estancias (ranches) of the past.
The Ford Ranchero was a very popular vehicle here, though it had a different body and platform than the original American car. (it was based in the 1960´s Falcon).
I have never seen one of these watches here in my place, being so rare (or rarer) than Railmasters. I like both the black and white dials, and would no doubt to throw my "lazo" (lariat) to one which crosses my path!
Best cordial regards, Abel.

I think i know the white one :-) The lack of love for these dials at the time made the Swedish Omega Agent (not confirmed but most likely) buy a lot of Ranchero (probaly cheap) and provide them with a Seamaster dial instead. Those are the transformed Ranc...

Here in Sweden the Ranchero was not that successful... Many was transformed into Seamaster's before being sold at the AD's. Best Blomman
