Understand the part about spec vs luck :-)
Sep 01, 2011,22:40 PM
Strangely even product build within 6-sigma capability, sometimes unexplained (or luck) came into play
Hopefully things will be up for you soon...and by then perhaps a bit more adventurous to show first a underwater shot , then following video of pushers actuating
Take good care, Ruckdee.

Patience is a 45.5 mm virtue. And I am liking it a lot.

Just when I thought I could keep myself sober from watches for a year or two, Omega launched a timepiece at Baselworld 2011 that I could not find a reason to dislike … the new Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph. You might have noticed that I am rather obs...
You are right. Two arrows may be a bit too much.

But that's the only way the watch comes in so we don't really have a choice, do we? In my currency it retails for the equivalent of USD 8,200 with minimal boutique discount. Orange aluminum bezel model is about USD 200 cheaper. Ruckdee

...means that it wraps better around the lower wrist. It's the one bone of contention I have with so many bracelet clasps- once you remove enough links to fit your small wrist, and because the long clasps aren't always rounded up enough on the ends, you h...
Congratulations.

It is really nice and honestly there is nothing wrong with being a little obsessive/compulsive. Wear in good health. Best regards, George
Fine looking watch

Congratulations and wear it in good health.
Thank you, Topcat. I saw the QP article as well.

I like everything about this new purchase, except for the fact that I am not big enough to wear it nicely. Many people have commented from photographs that they look fine. But I still feel a little insecure inside. You must have seen people with watches t...
Congrats Ruckdee

Judging from your photos, this is one nice looking watch. I like the " ghost " grey bezel insert. the dial looks very balanced to me.Will be researching this watch. Oh, the 45.5mm fits your wrist like a glove and I like the shorter clasp and it is nicely ...
Your presentation & photos are superb!

The fact is I am just a guy with too much time and poor prioritization skills Next one will be some time away. I have spent too much on watches these past few years. My fiancee is readily killing me for this. But who knows, right? Ruckdee
Super Review Ruckdee!

Congrats !!! Fantastic pictures with interesting and complete narration! Strangely, the matt crown and He valve, gave this watch 3 types of textures. Guessed it was difficult to brush-polish than to sandblast. So, will you be bringing the new friend to 't...

great review!

you really capture those small, but telling details! thx for sharing--I look forward to a revisit once you've enjoyed this piece for a time.... J
It's amazing what a macro lens and Photoshop can do.
By: Ruckdee : September 6th, 2011-22:03
A lot of cropping was involved for those close-ups. But it was worth the effort. I look forward to sharing more also as more opportunities arise for photography. Ruckdee
Fanatastic review & pics.. Awesome watch.. Many great details ! :))

Enjoyed this report, from A- Z ! - thx for guiding me to that .. - true pleasure to look at these excellent pics, as well ! Have to say, even suggests me to have a look at this piece in the real, although not typical for my 'l'air de famille' of pieces, y...

...a more refined and traditional brand like JLC. Thank you for your kind words. Perhaps one day I will find a Master Compressor that is right for me. I like the Memovox but they were discontinued. And the NS Alarm is prohibitively priced beyond my range....
Nice things.. Always catch an eye.. And BTW..
By: hs111 : September 7th, 2011-00:51
True, I guess Master Compressor would suit your line, likely.. .. as per the "pure" Memovox(es) : these have been re- issued ( see Nicolas & Blomman's posts on the JLC - forum) - of course pieces with a different appeal, more dressier allure. Finally, I a...
Enjoying this too. Thank you for the hints on JLC choices.
By: Ruckdee : September 7th, 2011-19:28
I've been looking at them and have tried some on. I was about to buy the Memovox (dress, not MC) at one time but the lume on the triangle was defective so I passed on it. Hopefully, they will NOT come out with something I like SIHH 2012 as I really need t...

Almost envious quality of your pics add a lot of spice to your already well-written review. Nice job! Thanks! Ken

. . . but enjoying it immensely! Congrats, Ruckdee. I believe Omega's cal 9300 will be viewed by the community as one of the great automatic chronograph movements. [2011 Omega Speedmaster with cal 9300 automatic movement] Hope you can join in this Friday'...
Thank you, Art, for the compliments and the Wristscan suggestion.

My Caliber 9300 is performing extremely well, beyond expectation, with chronograph on and off. I'm keeping track of accuracy with the help of Excel and will publish my findings this coming Monday after I have two weeks worth of record. It will be just one...
Very good observation about the lug v.s. wrist position.
By: Ruckdee : September 8th, 2011-00:38
This is the wristshot where the watch faces the camera most squarely. It is really as you say. A little longer on the lugs and I wouldn't have been able to wear this watch. I will enjoy this one immensely during the time from now until my eventual acquisi...
Well, this is a rule I observe and respect when I try a watch I consider.
By: amanico : September 8th, 2011-00:45
If the lugs come over the wrist, it is a definitive No Go for me. It is totaly unaesthetic, in my point of view, and absolutely not comfortable. May I humbly suggest you to wait till rhe next SIHH, if you consider getting a Master Compressor? We are now a...
