Back to your watch, I did a cursory check and, even considering that I'm not an expert on vintage Omegas, it seems to me the real deal.

It's an authentic mid-'50s Omega . . .
. . . but the dial's been refinished. Unless you can find an original dial, which isn't as unlikely as it may sound, this specimen would be worth a small margin over scrap value. Cordially, Art
