Well, if you look three or four years back, the 2913 was not that expensive.

While the 2914 was always a bit over the 2913. Funny.

Now, if these refs go up, the rest is taking the same way, in a less strong way.

Not the apanage of Omega, though. The market is in for vintage watches, in general.

Look at what is happening with the Jardur, Lemania, Tissot Chronographs. They were not sought after, they start to be.

It is also the fault of the modern production. When you see the retail of new watches, you start to think about it....

Best, my friend.

Nicolas

. . . to refer to those of us who trend vintage: Have any of you noticed a sudden uptick in hammer prices for vintage Omegas? I can't believe some of the recent results. A tropical Mk II (and with a non-original bracelet, yet) settled north of $6K US in t...

Moving up... :( Best Blomman

Yep. Try to find a CK 2913 in good shape... Well, with a reserve...

It will still cost you less than a Submariner 6536 or 5508... ;) Best, Nicolas

The classics, like the 2913, I understand. It's the second . . .

. . . and third-tier stuff that has me boggled. If I didn't know better, I'd say a hedge fund was involved.

Well, if you look three or four years back, the 2913 was not that expensive.

I decided to enter in "pause mode", on my dream to get a decent vintage Seamaster 300. Not the CK class but a plain 165.024. Cheers, Nilo

Not here ...

Besides the lack of provenance, the ones that are offered are or true rusty/destroyed or full of modern parts. And the price ... Cheers, Nilo

I wish I could ...

and I think the price increase is undertandable as always thought the grail vintage Omegas were undervalued , but ¿how will I find my CK2914 now ?

. . . (sigh) . . .

. . . of course, you're right - vintage Omega has long been undervalued. It's only natural prices should be moving up . . .

False alarm, folks. I should've checked . . .

. . . before posting. That particular Mk II went for a third of what I was told. Quite a mistake to make. Art
