Two different watches...

I don't think I've ever seen someone compare a VC chronograph with a Speedmaster.  I tend to see the Speedmaster as more of a sport watch while the VC seems considerably dressier.  Both use Lemania base movements, but I do not really know the extent of changes that Omega makes to their watches or the level of finishing they put on their watches.   I know Vacheron puts a great deal of effort into beautifully finishing their movements.

I think I would have difficulty spending somewhere in the $30,000 range for a wg speedmaster when I can get a standard model for under $5,000 , but thats just me.   If you like both watches get a regular speedmaster and see what kind of deal you can get on a VC Malte chronograph.
