. . . with contrasting white treatments perfectly framed. As for myself, I'm winding down at home, so nothing on my wrist at the moment. Wrist shot in the AM . . . cordially, Art
... about this Swatch, Davo. Very clean lines and modern dial design. I guess Swatch can get away with the design when this would not suit many of their more 'traditional' companies. Thanks for showing us. Andrew
Glad you like it. This one's part of their 2008 Summer Irony Retrograde line, called "Serious Affair". I'm really enjoying this watch. It's quite a fun watch to wear and I've received several compliments about it so far....
Can you tell us more about it? Is it RG with retrograde seconds? It looks like there is a power reserve and another indicator, as well. Were you looking to add a Swatch to the collection or was this just a fortuitous find? Cheers, Daos
The case material is actually PG plated stainless. The retrograde is their typical 30 seconds, and the other two arcs at 10 and 2 are 60 and 5min chrono displays. This message has been edited by Davo on 2010-02-27 11:05:15...
i love their retrograde displays on the chrono's and their steel cases making them far longer lasting than they used to be. i had a huge passion for them several years ago, but only have 1 irony chrono left i think. their only failing in my eyes is not pu...
... about every watch that catches your eye. But thanks for the Oscar nomination. I feel a little like Jim Cameron, but let's wait till the envelope is opened! Andrew
Our Friday WS are impressive, Ansdrew... LIke a Museum on a wrist, don't you think? Hence, it is diffcult to not fall in love every 5 seconds... Best, Jim. Nicolas
... as I scroll down the thread and get to each great watch. Always love to see everyone's great and interesting pieces in different parts of the world and on different wrists. WristScan Fridays are definitely the highlight of the PPro week for me. Please...
its a simple, basic watch yet looks great. the picture is simple, but works well. nothing else i can add really, only ask which movement is inside it? best Graham
Thanks for your kind words, Graham. As n Omega connoisseur I appreciate your comments. The answer to your question is to be found on the Omega Forum ... Andrew
your lovely caramel coloured croc nearly matches the lume perfectly. a vintage speedmaster gets my vote every day of the week. ironically, i'm into Omega's and your the Rolex moderator, but i'm wearing a Rolex and your wearing an omega. best Graham
I love more and more this dial, my friend. Classy and sporty at the same time. Let's wait and see what Rolex will do ( or not ) with this Dayto, this year... Catch you in a few hours, Pat! Best, Nicolas
... just for me, didn't you? Another great image and watch, saved to my collection of Speedy's. I clearly need to find a suitable strap for mine. Andrew
Older watches and younger women. You'll have to watch yourself, Graham. Nice statue by the way, and you have given me an idea for a future waist shot ... A
i've always had a penchant for the younger lady, but i think those days are long gone. my wife was quite a lot younger than me. sadly that didnt work out as we'd hoped through no ones fault. i dont have much to offer an attractive young woman unless i fin...
You didn't have enough chocolate, today? What a Day! To be followed on the JLC forum... I just made my selection of pictures. Best, my friend, it was a pleasure to meet you. Best, Nicolas
as i'm helping to convert you to an Omegarist, your slowly turning me into a Rolexista. lovely aquisition with a perfect strap to match as always. best Graham
the B&R, the very limited Sinn U1 and the Hublot King All Black are i think, the most black of all the phantoms out there. my Lum-tec misses the mark a bit. one day i'll get another true all black watch. enjoy Graham
you'll be able to do all sorts of timing exercises with it whilst driving home. on second thoughts your probably already home as its late on saturday night. best Graham
Very nice Dan, Now I know which watch to change to for next week. Looks great on your wrist, even for work. A versatile and dressy chrono with a fast beating heart. Andrew
...this watch is a pleasure to glance at throughout the day, the dial arrangement really lends itself to more formal requirements, it works great with a suit. Cheers, Dan
It seems, not few of us are in a classical mood today - so am I, wearing the Nomos Tangente for the first time in a couple of months since yesterday. I am astonished to find it running very accurately (only +2 sec in 24 hrs). (Pic is obviously not from to...
Great watch - Its good to see the black rather than the red power reserve. What made you choose the black version? I have the red by the way. Cheers JML
Hi JML, I chose the black PR indication for those two reasons: 1. I think it looks "cleaner" that way (although I occassionally like a dot of colour on the dial, but not in such a classical Bauhaus design) 2. Red is an alarm colour to me, i.e. lots of red...
. . . or even the Square Sixties would've been more up your alley, Geo, so that really is a nice compliment. I'm still hoping for a steel model equipped with the manual winding cal 49 . . . . . . and preferably a black dial . . . cordially, Art...
hi GEO, to my knowledge, style of Arabics used on my vintage Glashutte is the most close to the modern GO. i saw some other invariants from internet, such as my other vintage Glashutte Q1 (please see attached pic) stefan...
The differing fonts seem to be a sticking point with some in relation to the modern interpretation of this. Do you have any observations on this? Nice watch, btw. Andrew
Nice Panerai Dr. Kool! Watch out for that truck in front of you! I'm wearing a special and unique timepiece today. Donald W. Corson Dresdener Regulator Cheers, Daos...
Sorry I couldn't come down for the GTG yesterday -- glad you had fun! Took the Accutron to a "guilty pleasure" watch dinner earlier in the week and kept wearing it... Best, Gary
I just saw some nice overcast lighting from the clouds and the JLC and Sony did the rest. (Chrysler Corp., Cabela's and Thomas Pink provided the props)!
JLC did a great job on this elegant & sporty piece, I never tire of looking at it and wearing it; I hope it doesn't become too mundane for other members on the WristScan days on which I'm able to participate!
We have a Monday holiday in this neck of the woods, so it's time for eating out, stage shows and concerts all weekend. The holiday will be 'observed' in an appropriate fashion: Cheers, pplater....
... it is a credit to the imagination of a most unassuming but talented man: [photo from old PuristS post by I Skellern] Hopefully he will have something new to show us soon. Cheers, pplater....
... to be evil, Daos ??? The planning of a cruise goes very slowly and with great disorganisation - thankfully! The concept may yet be 'sunk' (if you'll pardon an atrocious pun). The holiday on Monday is a perverse public celebration: it is notionally for...
...celebrate them at different times of the year. We celebrate our Labor Day in September. I will look forward to cruising updates! LOL! Cheers, and enjoy the holiday weekend! Daos
… that Labour Day is celebrated at different times in different states, or not at all in some areas. Western Australia and Victoria celebrate Labour Day in March, but a week apart. Queensland celebrate it in May, New South Wales and South Australia ...
I just need to work out how to take them without getting pulled over by the police (they are blitzing mobile/cell phone usage at the moment) or killing myself! Nicely done. Andrew
