. . . from the mid-'50s. Unlikely that the dial is unretouched; I've never seen a black un engraved iteration, plus the fonts and printing don't quite match verified originals. With all the dials and movements available these days, it might be worth your ... 

...but my uncle did have the 'radium' on the Seamaster dial scraped off...probably in the late 60s or early 70s (long story). I don't want to change the dial because the value is purely sentimental to me. Scraping the radium off is just part of the story....
