For me, it has been around 2 years now

To put it into a timeline, I had really started looking into Panerai around 2005... I bought my first and only in 2008, and sold it in 2010. And I haven't really been back since. So why?
I guess, from my point of view, with times of austerity around us etc, I feel a lot of brands are increasing the effort they put into watches, and i have really been impressed with many other brands releases @ SIHH and Basel over the last few years.
In the mean time, how excited can one get about a new iteration of 'essentially' a same watch - yes I know the materials are different, and the movements.... but still, from an aesthetic point of view, what I saw in 2005 is pretty much what I am seeing in 2013 also. Yes, we have a bronze case, we have Ceramic but still....
And also, tbh, I have lost a lot of respect for the management of the brand, from the 318 'saga' (or was it 518, I forget now, but regarding the movement in a boutique edition watch), to just a general lack of vision....
So yes, I have been fatigued, but.....
I would still buy a PAM 4A, 36, or 40
